Time, Talent, and Technique!
DAB WAS BORN TO PAINT! After formal studies at Georgia Southern, DAB became an apprentice to master drawer, B.J. Watkins; and upon completion of his apprenticeship, DAB furthered his skills by studying the works of the great masters.
DAB is most always painting and he can generally be found painting between King St. - Church St. in Charleston, SC. On occassions DAB may even be found working on a DABISTIC™ technique painting, which require about seven-ten years to complete.
The ingredients for success in the art world include time, talent and technique!
DAB and his DABISTIC™ technique include all three!
I'm thankful for the opportunity to express myself through my artwork. I expend much time trying to capture the full spectrum of color in my paintings. I often find myself in awe of the gamut of colors along the horizon at sunset; what a great artist--Mother Nature. I'm happiest when I have a painting and/or drawing tool in my hand. In essence, I feel like a fish out of water when I'm not producing art.
